Senior Trip Information Session

Dear 8th Grade Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

Referring to my previous letter dated September 10th, since the Washington D.C. senior trip is an overnight, out of the city trip, parents/guardians who are interested in having their child attend must participate in a mandatory information session. For your convenience, one early morning and one evening session was available to choose from.

We will offer one final session on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at 9 AM in our school auditorium. If a parent or guardian did not attend any one of the information sessions, your child will not be able to attend this trip.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone at (718) 423-8138 or by email at Tlampoutis@schools.nyc.gov.

Sincerely,

Register for the SHSAT by Thursday 10/10

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of 8th Grade Students,

Please note the following key upcoming dates concerning the SHSAT and LaGuardia High School auditions:

October 10 is the deadline for:

  • Families to register for the SHSAT and LaGuardia High School auditions in the family-facing MySchools site, myschools.nyc.

  • Non-public school staff to submit IEPs, IESPs, and any other documentation pertaining to testing accommodations for students who will be taking the SHSAT and/or auditioning for LaGuardia High School.

Test and audition tickets will be available approximately two weeks after the registration deadline. The High School Enrollment office will notify schools and families when tickets can be printed from MySchools. Tickets will include the test/audition date, arrival time, and location. In the meantime, families can review the test and audition dates in the Specialized High Schools Student Handbook: https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/specialized-high-schools (links to the handbook in 10 languages are at the bottom of the page).

Reminder: Please turn in Your School Lunch Forms

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This is a reminder to please fill out the school meals application if you have not done so already for the 2019-2020 school year.

Even if your child does not eat the food provided by the school cafeteria or you know that you do not qualify for reduced lunch, it is imperative to fill out the meal application form which determines the federal funding your school receives. It is required for every student to submit a meal application.

It is highly recommended to fill out the application online at nyc.applyforlunch.com which is quicker, easier, and more accurate than filling out a paper application. It also avoids any confusion if you may have other children within the same or different NYC DOE school. Online applications are submitted using your child’s 9-digit ID number.

If you have any other general questions, please feel free to contact SchoolFood at (877) 363-6325. Please have your child return the form to the grade assistant principal.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The MS67 Administrative Team
