From Principal Annello:
“Dear MS 67Q School Community,
I hope you all are well. I am very excited to name Barbara Narissi as an Interim-Acting Assistant Principal at our school. Barbara has been a Special Education teacher at our school for over four years, and she has a vast amount of experience in helping students make progress academically, socially, and emotionally. She has also been an active member of our School Leadership Team, and she has taken on a leadership role in our school community as our Special Education liaison. Barbara’s knowledge and experience often allow her to provide much-needed guidance and advice to colleagues. She is an instructional leader who focuses on how students learn best in order to keep them engaged and motivated.
Over the past five years, our numbers of ICT and 12:1 classes have grown. During the 2016-2017 school year, our school had two ICT classes in grade 6 and one 12:1 class. During this current school year, our school has 11 total ICT classes as well as three 12:1 classes. In addition, the number of staff members (teachers, service providers, and paraprofessionals) has increased in order to help service and meet the needs of our students. Barbara’s expertise will help our school continue to meet our students’ needs and to help them reach their full potential.
Please join me in welcoming Barbara Narissi to her new leadership role as Interim-Acting Assistant Principal at our school. She will begin in her new position on Monday, January 24th. Thank you for your continued support.
