Get your tickets to the Winter PTA Fundraiser and Fun Event – ‘Twas Night Before Cirque du Soleil event at MSG NOW!
On the evening of December 14th, many will ride the LIRR Polar Express into the Madison Square Garden Theater, NYC to see ‘Twas The Night Before… by cirque du soleil. This adventure is not a supervised event nor considered a school event, but rather a fun wholesome family event. It will follow the Douglaston Village Winter Festival that takes place that afternoon at the Douglaston Station Plaza (next to the LIRR Station). We have 63 tickets on hold with LIRR daily r/t tickets included in this purchase.
Please get your ticket requests in by Friday, October 25th to secure your transportation/theater tickets as once these seats are sold, we cannot guarantee additional accommodations. Theater tickets are located in section 202, rows x-z. This is a small theater and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. It is a day that will get you in the holiday spirit for sure!
Please see the flyer HERE for more information and ticket purchase form.

Referring to my previous letter dated September
10th, since the Washington D.C. senior trip is
an overnight, out of the city trip, parents/guardians who are interested in
having their child attend must participate in a mandatory information session.
For your convenience, one early morning and one evening session was available
to choose from.
We will
offer one final session on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at 9 AM in
our school auditorium. If a parent or guardian did not attend any one of the
information sessions, your child will not be able to attend this trip.
If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me by phone at (718) 423-8138 or by email at Tlampoutis@schools.nyc.gov.
As a reminder, you can access the NYC High School Open house schedule on the NYC Department of Education website. To access the calendar, please follow these steps:
Please note the following key upcoming dates concerning the SHSAT and LaGuardia High School auditions:
October 10 is the deadline for:
Families to register for the SHSAT and LaGuardia High School auditions in the family-facing MySchools site, myschools.nyc.
Counselors to submit 504 Plans for students with existing 504 Plans who will be taking the SHSAT and/or auditioning for LaGuardia High School.
Non-public school staff to submit IEPs, IESPs, and any other documentation pertaining to testing accommodations for students who will be taking the SHSAT and/or auditioning for LaGuardia High School.
Test and audition tickets will be available approximately two weeks after the registration deadline. The High School Enrollment office will notify schools and families when tickets can be printed from MySchools. Tickets will include the test/audition date, arrival time, and location. In the meantime, families can review the test and audition dates in the Specialized High Schools Student Handbook: https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/specialized-high-schools (links to the handbook in 10 languages are at the bottom of the page).
