Dr. Margaret Yoon is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who will speak about the current state of teen mental health post-pandemic. Parents will learn ways they can improve communication with their teens and warning signs to look for as anxiety and social struggles have become widespread. There will also be time for Q&A in this Zoom workshop [or meeting].

“Dr. Margaret Ji-Hyun Yoon is a double board-certified, Harvard-trained child and adult psychiatrist in private practice in New York. She also trained in family therapy and is assistant professor of psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was born and raised in NYC and is now raising own her teen children in the city.”

Calling all students for the Memorial Day Art and Essay Contest! 

Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember those who died bravely, making the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.  It is a day of both celebration and grief, when we honor our heroes from all our past wars and
think about their tragic loss.
The Art and Essay Contest encourages you to use your imagination or choose from one of the topics provided to write an essay or poem / or draw a picture!  See below for guidelines and entry submission dates.

Every year, approximately 27,000 New York City 8th graders take the SHSAT to gain admission to one of the NYC Specialized High Schools. These include Stuyvesant H.S., Bronx H.S. of Science, and Brooklyn Technical H.S. Only 2,500 students are accepted in total to the original three.
