As a reminder, a parent or guardian must attend at least one of the sessions for a student to participate in the trip to Washington DC on Thursday May 7th – Friday, May 8th.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me by email at tlampoutis@schools.nyc.gov or by phone at (718) 423-8138.
Thank you,

8th Grade Assistant Principal
A high school open house calendar is now available under the Resources tab of our website (HERE). The information on this calendar is pulled from the official DOE calendar (HERE) and is provided as a convenience for parents.
Help us keep it up to date! If you see an error or omission, please let us know at contact@ms67pta.org.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is a reminder to please fill out the school meals application if you have not done so already for the 2019-2020 school year.
Even if your child does not eat the food provided by the school cafeteria or you know that you do not qualify for reduced lunch, it is imperative to fill out the meal application form which determines the federal funding your school receives. It is required for every student to submit a meal application.
It is highly recommended to fill out the application online at nyc.applyforlunch.com which is quicker, easier, and more accurate than filling out a paper application. It also avoids any confusion if you may have other children within the same or different NYC DOE school. Online applications are submitted using your child’s 9-digit ID number.
If you have any other general questions, please feel free to contact SchoolFood at (877) 363-6325. Please have your child return the form to the grade assistant principal.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The MS67 Administrative Team

UPDATE: The Shoparoo app will no longer be available as of July 15, 2020
We are excited to be partnering with a fun, free, and truly easy fundraiser called Shoparoo! Schools nationwide are already earning hundreds and even thousands every year through Shoparoo. Shoparoo is school fundraising made easy: the free app turns pictures of your everyday shopping receipts into cash donations and sweepstakes entries for our school! Yep, it’s that simple. All you have to do is shop as you normally do, snap pictures of your receipts with the app, and voila Just shop, snap, earn!
Get started today:
There’s no limit to how much money we can raise with Shoparoo – the more supporters, the more we will raise for our school. Schools with just 40 supporters are earning an average of $1,000 every year. That’s free, easy money that we could be fundraising too. Check out shoparoo.com to learn more about this awesome app!
Thank you for your support!
Have you noticed fewer and fewer Box Tops on your favorite products? That’s because by the end of 2019, Box Tops for Education will be going 100% digital. You may have already noticed participating brands change their packaging from a physical Box Tops clip to this new Box Tops icon:
Instead of clipping and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally via receipt scans. Download the new app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, register and select a school, and then scan an eligible receipt containing Box Tops products. You’ll continue to earn 10 cents for eah Box Tops product purchased plus extra earnings for any Bonus Box Tops opportunities. The app will automatically add Box Tops to your school’s earnings online, giving users access to see how you are supporting your school in real-time.
Don’t worry! We will continue to accept clipped Box Tops until they expire. Better yet: you can “double dip” during the packaging transition by clipping the physical Box Tops AND scanning their receipt with those participating items.*
Please note, a few brands are not allowing the “double dip” and will return a message in the app that the brand is a “clip only” brand and encourage users to submit the physical Box Tops to their participating school.
Please see below for message from Mr. Lampoutis. A copy was backpacked home with your child. PDF available HERE.
Dear 8th Grade Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
Welcome Back! I would like to take this opportunity at the beginning of the school year to outline some key dates concerning our graduating seniors. Please note the following 8th grade events on your family calendar:
(UPDATED**Evening information session for the Senior Trip has been moved to Monday, Oct 7th at 6pm.)
*Students who have received two “N” or “U” Conduct Grades on their report cards any quarter, by two teachers or the same teacher may not participate in the Senior Trip. If a student received a level 3-level 5 code infraction based on the NYCDOE discipline code (B-21-B-62), they will not be permitted to attend the trip. Additionally, participation will be based on administrator’s discretion.
** Since this is an overnight, out of the city trip, parents/guardians who are interested in having their child attend must participate in one of the two information sessions. For your convenience, one early morning and one evening session is available to choose from. If a parent/guardian does not attend one information session, your child will not be able to attend this trip.
Please note if any calendar date/time needs to be changed, you will be notified immediately. As dates approach, more detailed information will be communicated regarding each event.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone at (718) 423-8138 or by email at Tlampoutis@schools.nyc.gov.
Sincerely,
Taso Lampoutis Grade 8-Assistant Principal
